Dear father Antonios , i beleive instead of exhausting all our effort in closing gaps and differences in our current culture which will be fixed by itself in time as most of our church congregation will be grown and bred in this part of the world in the next few years , so better our efforts to be utilized in other area of great importance and urgency in our churches and that is the area of LOVE AND FORGIVENESS which is not only dividing our Coptic community but the whole church at all levels and in fact threatened and closed the doors of the churches of other Christ believers ...i believe by rectifying all the negative aspects in this area a lot of of great fruits will be emerged over time such trust , openness , transparency , respect , love , loyalty ,love , hope , faith, democracy , dignity , rights etc. ...we can bring a lot of such negative aspects forward and must be analyzed and rectified by all levels from the top to the bottom ...i am putting one aspect which need to be looked at as an example , what are the criteria of giving absolution by priests to those people who have got differences and problems among themselves ??!!! do the church need to say that negative expressi8on every Sunday , those who has problems not to approach the holy communion ??!! why we do not turn it to a positive way of approach and do something about it by minimizing and even eliminating it by working harder on it ??!!we might need to tighten it more ??!! why not the real christian person go and do the right thing and the extra mile towards his brother ???simply the church can do a survey in this point of concern and amazing results will be found ??!!both the top and bottom has responsibility and must be accountable at the end of the in front of our Lord Jesus Christ ...may God forgive me if i said something wrong and may our lord Jesus Christ put his hands to improve all our attitudes and keep the doors our churches open all the time which started by the effort of our great Coptic community forty years ago ...praise God by your life , amen .....

dear father Antonios,

I like the article's about the church-items especialy that one about the two kinds of believers,
here in the Netherlands we have many people coming from abroad [Greek, Russians and so-on],
who are 'original' Orthodox on cultural background and
don't know anything about the deeper levels of Christianity.
This is the reason why we started our [e-mail] Magazine,
You are very clear and pointed.

I want to ask your permission to reproduce some of your articles
in our Parish Magazine 'Kerkklok' [churchbel] or print them for use by our youth.
We will always mention the name of the you and say reproduced with permission if you allow us.

Hi Abraam
Our church has a number of reasons, which we can summarise thus:

1. Tradition: Jesus never ordained women, though He had many chances.

2. Nature: the Bible describes man as the head of the woman as Christ is the Head of the Church. This does not imply superiority of men over women, only a difference in roles

3. History: heretical sects in the early centuries of Christianity ordained women priests, but the orthodox Church repeatedly refused to do so.
